Al Aasy is a nine year old now but shows little signs of being over the hill he won this race in 2024 and 2025 and has won his latest race a Listed event at Beverley a month ago to put him spot on for this.

A lightly raced and profressive 4yo. A third and two wins from his three starts this year. He won a valuable 17 runner handicap by 2L last time out and it was another 3L back to the rest. He posted a big RPR rating that day and comes here fresh after a six week break. He should be fine stepping up into Group 3 company.

In My Teens represents the G P Cromwell stable. Her record stands at two wins and a further three placings from six starts. Judging by her convincing victory at Curragh on 28 June, she is in good form. The successful jockey Oisin Murphy will be in the saddle, which adds to the confidence of success.

This is a real mish mash of younger pretenders, an elder statesman in Al Aasy, and some more experienced em older horses. Enfjar looked in the mix for me after his staying on effort in the Wolferton. He gets an extra 2f here which look to suit on that evidence, and he ran a decent 3rd in a listed event here the time before. A decent weight carrying 2nd in the Chesterfield Cup here also adds to his case of taking to this.
