4:18 Carlisle Tips

Comes here from a falling mark, another pound lower here, and has been running better than the bare results the last couple of runs, catching the eye.

Carries top weight but is eased in grade to Class 5 after racing over a furlong further in a Class 3 at Hamilton last time out.

This horse won here last summer and is now a pound lower following a good third at Catterick last month. Usually goes well here, so worth chancing each-way.

Ravishing Beauty has won two races at 1m7f and 1m at Thirsk on her latest outing last month. Course, distance, and going should suit. She seems well treated and could well be able to win this race.

Others do arrive with better chances so this is just a small, risky tip. Definitely needs improvement but she is lightly raced, has time for possible further progress. Poor run last time but she probably sat too far back in the early part of the race. More positive riding tactics would be helpful today, might be worth one more chance. Very risky tip though, i like the odds.

I'm expecting some improvement from this one today. Three quiet runs mean she sneaks into this debut handicap off a good mark. The stiff track and slight increase in trip could mean enough improvement to feature for her in form connections.

Cheek pieces on for the first time and good to soft ground that POSITIVE THOUGHTS seemed to like when finishing fourth at Musselburgh last November could see my selection go close at a big price.
