Sam England has her string in absolutely flying form currently, and this looks a great opportunity for her dual-purpose charge, Banderas, to win. He is very lightly raced on the flat but boasts a good strike rate, including winning here at Carlisle. Although he hasn't raced on the level for nearly a year, he won at Hexham over hurdles around a month ago, so he is fully fit and ready for the job.

Raced as if something was wrong when last of 4 over a furlong shorter at Hamilton in a Class 4 at the end of last month. Sent off favourite in an apprentice race when runner-up over this trip at Nottingham in the race prior to that and eased in grade to Class 5.

He stands as a formidable each-way contender at decent odds, arriving in excellent form evidenced by a narrow 2nd-place finish at Ripon. His established stamina is well suited to this extended trip.

This is trainer-only entry. He's been dropped in class/grade today with a good jockey booking/change. Good each-way value for the four places available.

Arctic Fox has won 6 of his 50 starts, the last being when successful in this race, last off the same mark as today. He has been placed in both starts this season and looks a good each-way bet with four places on offer.

Pyramid Place is a multiple-hurdle winner but has just one run on the level on turf and four AW runs. He has recently switched yards and should be fit from a recent run over hurdles. He hasn't been in the best of form over hurdles, and a switch back to the flat might just spark a revival.

Marbuzet is a previous course-and-distance winner who had a productive 2025 for Tim Easterby. He returned at Thirsk last month, finishing last of five, and was probably in need of the run. If he's taken a step forward following that run, he could certainly outrun his current odds today.
