Though not hitting anything like his best form yet this season, if Desert Dream gets some cut in the ground here at Ayr, he could, with luck in running, at least get involved in the finish.

Six career runs for the 3yo filly. Her first five runs were on the AW, losing by just a head three runs back. Back from a 3-month break three weeks ago for her turf debut in a 12-runner handicap. Held up that day, not a lot of room at the business end of the race, but she stayed on nicely, saw the race out, and wasn’t given a hard time. Quite a few runners from the race have run well since. Something to build on. She now drops into a level-weights 0-50 classified stakes. She has a strong jockey booking and receives a nice 9lb age allowance from all her 11 rivals.

A reasonable effort last time, slightly unlucky and eased towards the finish. A couple of subsequent C6 handicap winners have come out of that race, so the form looks reasonably good for the grade. That was this horse's reappearance after a long time off, and he must surely be better and sharper for that today. Comes from a good stable, and their number one jockey rides today. Wouldn't have to be a stable star to win his classified stakes today.
