4:15 Punchestown Tips

Doctor Steinberg was pulled up late on in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival when Fruit De Mer was 2nd and The Passing Wife was 3rd, but he could bounce back at Punchestown as his previous form was good.

Just three starts over hurdles for this 6yo, form 132. His last two runs were in Grade 1 company. He was a close 2nd of 22 at the Cheltenham Festival. He'll be fine after a seven-week break. The least exposed runner in this Grade 1 hurdle and his profile is progressive.

The Passing Wife is a 7-year-old bay gelding. He has done 12 runs so far with 4 wins. He has proven to be a competitive horse and is expected to confirm dominance over rivals. He might make a big surprise.

Unbeaten since winning her Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown back in December, she gets the mares' allowance and has some of the better form in this field. She skipped both Cheltenham and Aintree, so hopefully she comes here a bit fresher than those who have.

Impressive so far in his two starts and comes here fresh after missing the bulk of the season. Shapes as though the step up in trip should really suit, and a massive price here if it does.

Frankie John can go close at big odds after finishing an excellent third last time in a Grade 1 novice at the Aintree Hurdle. With four places on offer, the place is very appealing.

Dream on. Mick winning this is probably a dream, but he looks to have the stamina for 3 miles, as he won a point over that distance in January. He also won his maiden hurdle at Carlisle, his first and only race under rules. He is up against the best here but has done all that's been asked of him.
