British raider Zahra Dodville looks interesting here on just her second handicap start. Placed in France, she made a winning debut for James Owen at Fakenham last October, winning by 15 lengths. She was then third in a Listed Fillies' Juvenile Hurdle at Newbury before returning from a break when runner-up, beaten just half a length at Cartmel in a Mares' handicap hurdle in May. She is up 3 lbs, but Callum Hogan claims 5 lbs. Cheek pieces are added, and this looks like a plan by her shrewd trainer. She looks like a good each-way bet with five places on offer.

Returned from five months absence to win a maiden hurdle race at Killarney in May. Although that race was in excess of two and three quarter miles, the mare possessed the basic speed to win a couple of bumper races last year. Could have been set out for race on her handicap debut.

After 8 months off the track 6yo french import to the Willie Mullin's yard made her seasonal debut last month at Kilbeggan but ran awful but knowing the Mullin's operation he'll have her fired up and strip much fitter today for this over a shorter trip which should suit off an opening and workable handicap mark

Bossy Bird was badly hampered late when flying home at Cork last time, yet still finished second of 16, beaten only 1 length off 4 lb lower, so she's well capable off this sort of rating with a clear run. She stays 2m 6f, acts on good ground, and has already shown she can travel and quicken in big-field handicaps, so the conditions are ideal here.

The selection finished last season with a win chasing at Cork. It returned eight months later to win at Downpatrick 40 days ago, hurdling over this distance. A large field with good elements makes an EW bet wise.

She has shown remarkable consistency, finishing in the top positions in four of her last five hurdle races. Under the guidance of trainer Noel Meade, she returns to a familiar 2m trip and presents an excellent each-way opportunity at odds of 22/1.

Wonderfulwonderful could be good enough for at least a place she has just won an auction race on the flat and won a juvenile maiden hurdle last August at Killarney.

Gordon Elliot's horses can never be ignored in valuable races, his 5yo mare could do no more than when winning 2m4f at Bellewtown last time by 14 lengths, this is obviously tougher but has been given a managable opening handicap mark to work with despite the easy win , 22/1 each-way 5 places is a value looking bet and will be doing best work late over this shorter trip under top jockey Jack Kennedy

Before her win over hurdles last time out, her previous win over the smaller obstacles was in 2023. However, she has proven she still has ability. She is up 6 lbs for that victory, but it was a comfortable 8-length win, and she has previously placed off a 6-lb higher mark than today.

Missus Beeton ran out the back for all the race and then produced nothing at the end under a claimer on its season debut?..yet it was backed from 16s into 7s on the off...Keith Donoghue up today down a pound and a change of headgear so it could snatch a place or more at a good price
