Elman is in stall 3 and was beaten 9 lengths on debut in a 10f maiden at Fairyhouse, running a bit green, so that run should help bring him on. He is by Lope De Vega out of a Siyouni mare, so the step up in trip looks better for him and should suit. Tongue-tie for the first time, which may help him settle better also. Trainer Johnny Murtagh’s runners often improve after a run, and Billy Lee keeps the ride. From stall 3 in what could be a steadily run race, he should be able to sit handy or mid-division. Not without chances here.
