Ballymagreehan is of significant interest, particularly if he again attracts some strong market support.

Pete's Dream has yet to finish in the places but has shown some ability in his runs. He could go well here today in what looks like an open-looking handicap.

Strong each-way bet. Worth trying over this extra furlong. She will be a danger to all from this lowly mark if she stays the trip.

Beaten just over a length last time out over track and trip in December, the Thomas Coyle-trained Manhattan Dandy has Jimmy Dalton on board again with his handy seven-pound claim and should go well again here.

This race looks challenging if searching for value. The horses currently at the top of the market look solid enough, but there are plenty of others with chances if things drop right. Macadams Rock is a four-time course-and-distance winner who won off this mark last April with Ben Coen riding. Only two starts since, the last of which was a poor run over C&D in November. There are certainly doubts about form, but his record here balances that out and, at current odds, I feel he's worth chancing. A risky each-way.

Alex Belardo tries the 7f here for the first time from the mile it normally goes at. It's going to have to be sharp away and boss it, I think, under only one ride, Rutledge, for the McConnell yard.

Platino Bianco would arguably have finished a lot closer to Winemaker LTO but for meeting trouble at the furlong pole and staying on close home thereafter. So at 3x his price I think she’s worth a small each-way poke. Conor Maxwell recently acquired this 5 y/o mare off Chris Timmons and has gotten a bit of a tune out of her. He brought her to Newcastle for her first run and sailed in over 6f in 20s??'12s. The step up to 7f should pose no issue and hopefully bring about further improvement. Her polytrack form has left her turf form for miles behind, so it’s possible there’s more to come..

There are 6 places available on this race on the Betfair Sportsbook. With that in mind Desert Of The Sea looks like a canny bet. The stats for the horse are more encouraging than the market is suggesting here and, at odds, the selection could be a player

A solid contender at this level, frequently demonstrating determination in tight finishes. A regular at Dundalk and in Irish handicap races, he boasts three victories and several podium finishes from 47 races. He is recognised for his reliability compared to many others at this level, making the 20/1 odds excellent value.
