Two or three with good recent win and place form, but French Affair has proven good on soft and heavy ground, whereas the other fancied horses are yet to encounter it. That could well represent good EW value.

Luna A Inbhir Nis has been ultra consistent this season and has been in the frame 5 of the last 6 races, winning 3. The mark has risen as the season's progressed, and two races ago was 3rd of 19 at York in a finish of heads. Second was the rapidly improving sprinter Eternal Sunshine, who won well at the weekend. Last time out, the selection was 4 lengths second to Democracy Dilemma. That one is rated in the hundreds, over 10 pounds superior, and it was a marked improvement that caught the stewards' eye. No explanation was offered. It must be mentioned that it was a fast time too, so the form is still strong and at the current odds must be decent EW value.

Jim Goldie continues to motor along (three winners here yesterday) and Eternal Sunshine is a fast-improving horse who won a big field handicap at the weekend after being backed. Young apprentice Lauren Young has run up a treble now. The style of the win at the weekend suggests the handicapper hasn't got on top just yet, and the soft ground helps, as does the CD win in the past. Jim G also runs Mostar Dreams, who won three races ago and has Paul Mulrennan up. He has run the last 3 races over 7f, fading late, so a strongly run 6 furlongs here might see him outstay most and challenge the stablemate. Kelpie Gray has run three times this season and placed. Another Goldie chance.

Jim Goldie has two at the head of the betting in Dwindling Funds and Native Honey. Dwindling Funds has a win here and good win-place form in Class 6 races and goes in soft. Native Honey, however, saw the rating slip from 80 to high 60s before winning last time. The winning margin was minimal but looked cozy. Probably had today in mind and has enough left to go in again off a mark of 70.
