Martin Plage can improve here for Willie Mullins. This looks entirely winnable against some lesser rivals over an adequate trip and in suitable conditions.

He finished 3rd on his penultimate bumper start, and his eighth last time out wasn't void of promise, as he was still only beaten by eight lengths. He should run well over hurdles, as his dam, Broughtons Point, won her only hurdles start.

Sampoet has a bit of appeal if he can put that unseating behind him. He was still in the mix before coming down. His best trip range is 2m 5f, so this gives him a fair platform to build from. To me, he's not one to dismiss completely, and a clean round could easily see him run better for a place here.

Ersudaly is yet to really make a mark over hurdles in just a handful of outings but is a point-to-point winner. He did, for periods, look good over hurdles at Wexford as a 40/1 shot in his second-to-last outing, where he kept in touch with the leaders for a decent amount of the race before a jumping error, which can be forgiven when still relatively green. He does look to have room for improvement and, beyond the worthy near-even-money favourite here, I don't see a whole lot else to fear.

That wasn't a terrible run on hurdles debut in June of this year, finished 5th over a distance of 3mile. Did look stretched by the 3mile distance , the drop in distance today may be more suitable. Very small each-way tip.
