This son of HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR was keeping on nicely despite being hampered when switching across, so it's no surprise to see this charge being upped in trip here today. This charge ran a nice race on penultimate - again at Fairyhouse -finishing 5th, 5¼ lengths off, finishing ahead of next-time-out winner (Step Back In Time), and is now dropped 1lb for that. Whilst I'm sure we can all agree this yard have not been firing as frequently as we have seen in previous years, trainer John McConnell knows the time of day, and it would be foolish to ever dismiss any of his runners. 22/1 looks a decent price. Fingers crossed we get a run.

I’m going to side with one of the least exposed runners in this field , pat murphy’s SHUYAK, this 3 y/o showed ability LTO in limerick where she ran with credit after blowing the start..that was her 1st run in handicap company and should come on for that.. she wasn’t beaten all that far (4L) and had more behind her than in front , nothing too harsh about this mark of 47 either and I’ll take a chance..

HE'S JUSTAGENT may finally be running over a trip which can see him to best effect. He will clearly have no issues racing from his career-low mark which almost certainly underestimates his true ability and third-up for this campaign he could be ready to score.

Six time winner The Bog Bank looks interesting here off a mark 2lbs below his last win at Bellowstown last August with his rider claiming an extra 10lbs. He showed signs of a return to form of a 2lbs higher mark when 5th at Gowran earlier this month . He looks worthy of a small EW bet at these odds with 4 places on offer

Interesting to see this jockey on board because he did well in a few races on this horse when a big outsider. The horse has dropped to a lowly 52 mark and the takes off 7lbs which must be considered favorable terms.
