Staysound Susie has some deficit of 7.5 lengths to claw back from Dmaniac on the recent outing but is eight pounds better off. She will likely come on from her first seasonal outing and should be better suited by today's five-furlong trip. She was a winner over course and distance on her penultimate start in November off a 7 lb lower mark. Apprentice Jimmy Dalton claims a 7 lb allowance once again for trainer Andrew Slattery.

Bodhi Bear is untested on heavy ground. He did race on soft ground in the Ayr Silver Cup last year, but that was over 6f and was probably too testing. Back at 5f would give him more of a chance. He returns from a layoff but did win first time out last year at a lower level before stepping up in grade.

Loves it round here, having won three times here last year, including first time up. Will need to improve to win this as he runs from a career-high mark, but has each-way appeal.
