Worth an interest if staying this far. Then I can see this O'Sullivan runner recouping recent losses. Got outpaced over seven last time out but did run well. Last try at this distance was on heavy going, which was unsuitable.

Eric Lock was 9th of 16 at Fairyhouse three weeks ago. That was over six furlongs. He won a fortnight earlier at Down Royal over the distance, and that performance puts him into the frame.

A seven-race maiden, she looked unlucky two starts ago at Ballinrobe when having anything but a trouble-free run at crucial times in the race. That was in an extended 9f maiden but ran no sort of race back in a handicap over 10f at Fairyhouse last time. Has a bit to prove on the back of that, and minor honors at best looks the likely scenario.

3 y/o James The Second did everything right 2 runs back in Limerick. Took it up at the furlong pole, kicked on and looked home for all money but unfortunately got collared close home. 10lb claimer Terry Casey gave him a great ride but just met one too good. He missed the kick at Down Royal LTO, so we have to put a line through that. A repeat of the Limerick run, albeit with an extra furlong to contend with, would surely see him on the premises. 3lb more to carry wouldn’t put me off. He’s taking on his own age group today after 2 attempts against the older horses..

Not a great race and not one to be getting heavily involved in stake-wise, but I like these sorts of races because they always look like throwing out a big-priced winner. Jess Harrington's Academe came 2nd two races ago in the first handicap run with a pro jockey, but last time out over slightly further, faded when losing the lead in the last furlong. Down in trip today, but I wasn't convinced it didn't get the trip. It looked more like a loss of rhythm after going off too quick. We also have a change of headgear today and I'm hoping Academe can get back on track.

I'm just going to cover my each way tip with this one who's making handicap debut today, and there are a few reasons. Seems to have achieved a low opening mark in three races over three different trips, but it seems a rushed job as those races were all completed in 16 days. Always nice to have an excuse ready as well, and the blinkers worn today will do that. Could just be nothing and doesn't have a good draw, so very small stakes if you fancy an each way bet.
