Charles Schwab Challenge Tips

The current leader of world golf, Scottie Scheffler, has twice come very close to winning this tournament. This season, he may well finally do it, and his chances of starting well on the first day are very high.

Davis Riley can go well on opening day this week. Davis Riley won this last year and did shoot a round of 64 in that win. He did very well last week and can start well this week.

Harris English can go well in the opening round this week. Harris English has been in good form and shot an opening round of 65 in this competition in 2023. He can start well this week.

Ryan Gerard was close to being the first-round leader at the PGA Championship last week. He eventually was 2nd in that round after a great play from Vegas. Gerard is an exciting bet this week. Ryan shows consistently good results in the last months.

Jhonattan Vegas started his latest tournament with a stellar first-round score, and 80-1 is generous for a repeat low start in the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Andrew Putnam has big rounds at this course. In 2023, he started with 66 in the 1st round. In 2022, he had a 65 round. 65 was the number that the 1st round leader had last year.

Charley Hoffman was 1st round leader at Charles Schwab Challenge last year with his 65 round. It wasn't his first time showing that good result at this course. He won't win the tournament but remains a good first round pick.

Finnish golfer Sami Valimaki has been playing well in the US, and 100-1 odds are too generous for his chances of being involved close to the top of the leaderboard after the first round.
