Gian van Veen came on the scene at the same time as Littler and although not having the impact as Littler he has quitely gone about establishing himself as a top player. His A game is top notch and in the last Players event reached the semi going down to eventual winner Dobey 7-5. He is going to win one of these sooner rather than later.

The Ferret and The Iceman were runner-ups in the World Cup of Darts. Clayton also won the 7th european Tour and the 14th Players Championship. He is a World Top-5 player, so I believe he can go all the way to the final in the 18th Players Championship.

Ross Smith got me of the most notable wins in PC 16. He beat Noppert 6-0 in quarter-final, 7-0 against Woodhouse in semi-final, 8-0 against Dolan in the final. He threw a couple of nine darters. He can do big things on the right day.

Stephen Bunting was knocked out in 1/8 yesterday by Veenstra, match that he definitely could've won. He won ET event just before that tournament, and can go far today.

Damon Heta played well in yesterday's event. He reached semi-final where was in close match with van Duijvenbode. He will make another attempt to win it today.

Van Duikvenbode looks primed to bounce back. His scoring power and recent averages suggest he's close to lifting a trophy again.

After Missing out in the quarters of players championship 17 against top ranked van veen, Michael Smith will be aiming to showcasing his talent by bouncing. Though he has lacked consistency but this year has been on a good abd Based on today's draw he is likely going to win todays championship.

Aspinal has shown great performances in recent tournaments, he recently won the European tour 8 title after defeating Heta in finals. He's likely to proceed to finals in this tournament

Menzies could catch a good day here, he won already once this season and finished 2nd twice as well, with Littler or Humphries missing, lower level players have chances.

The Dutchman reached a quarter final and a semi final in last months Players Championship events and I do think after reaching the last 32 yesterday he will have a better day today. He reached the semi finals of the World Cup of Darts last weekend and I think Danny Noppert will reach the final today.

Ryan Searle has a W in Players Championships this year. 6 tournament wins on his record overall. I feel, he can win it today.

Peter Wright had a good day yesterday, showed some good form when winning 3 matches, only lost narrowly in that last match played yesterday. He showed signs of something like his best form. Peter already has good form against some of the opponents he could meet today so i think he can have another good day today.

Callan Rydz will be looking for a better performance today after going out in just his first match yesterday, he has the ability to bounce back and he's better than what he showed yesterday. Callan was showing much better form only a few months ago, he'll do well if he can get back to that sort of form today.

Krzysztof Ratajski had a disappointing opening round defeat yesterday but it was against an awkward opponent in Suljovic and we are getting a nice price bump as a result here and his pedigree remains the same having won 8 of these titles in his career so far and his motivation to try to claim a place in the World Mxtchplay is also still fully live.

Niko Springer has one final this season on European Tour. He might be the next player to make a breakout. Players Championship is the tournament he should target as his first win.

Kevin Doets has 5 quarter-finals in PC tournaments this year. Last time he played there in 16th PC. Tough draw for him yesterday. He didn't go far. With better draw he might go deep if plays his best.

Brendan Dolan reached the final of Players Championship 16. In 17th tournament he didn't go far, but he is capable of doing it. Won it before and almost did it recently. I will take him with very nice price.

Luke Woodhouse didn't go far in yesterday's event, but it only increased the odds on him. In Players Championship 16 he reached the semi-final. I like him at given odds.
