Using high-definition graphics, Push has upgraded the visuals from the original with a bigger grid as well as meaner-looking sharks. With a mechanical/robotic feel to the shark characters, the underwater scene is filled with coral and naval mines that are tied to the ocean floor by anchors presumably. The soundtrack is intense and dramatic and reminds me of Steven Spielberg’s classic Jaws film as you spin the reels. You’ll notice the symbols are big and clear and really stand out against the pleasant backdrop.

On the reels, low-value symbols include anchors, compasses, periscopes and diving helmets. Then you have blue, green, pink and orange sharks who each sport their own headgear. Best paying is the orange shark symbol which awards 7.5 times your total bet for 5 across any payline.

Then you have the Great White Shark Wild symbol which has a mechanical and somewhat robotic feel. Winning combinations are subject to the feature’s active multiplier which increases with each nudge. With new Mystery symbols landing, the feature continues until all Mystery symbols have fallen off the bottom of the reels.

The Razor Returns slot had a lot to live up to as the original Razor Shark game is one of Push Gaming’s flagship titles. With more going on in terms of bonus features, the Razor Reveal feature has been enhanced significantly. The Instant Prize symbols can award bet multiplier prizes up to 5,000 times your total bet (this is double what’s on offer in Razor Shark).

 With new Collector and Converter symbols, you get the chance to win more prizes and land Golden Sharks which in turn sees you play on. The Golden Sharks are like the Golden Bamboo symbols in Push Gaming’s Big Bamboo slot.

I also like how the Free Spins feature gives you the possibility of beginning with a 5x or 25 starting multiplier by triggering with 4 or 5 Torpedo Scatters respectively. You also have the addition of the Nudge Up symbol which keeps Mystery symbols on the reels for longer.
