Overview
I've just had a spin on the Devil's Crossroad slot, Nolimit City's latest online slot sites release with a Satan theme that's packed with appearances from the Prince of Darkness himself. What sets this game apart for me is its unique grid layout, divided into four cross sections, each housing four symbols that meet in the middle with a Devil Wild. Winning combinations vanish, allowing symbols to cascade towards the centre, making room for new ones to drop in. With an RTP of 96.06% and high volatility, it promises both challenge and excitement. So if you're in the mood for some fiendish slot action stay put and read this detailed Devil's Crossroad slot review. If you need info about the best online slot games you can visit OLBG.

Test Comments
We can always expect something different from NLC, but this is like no other slot you've ever played - I'll let Andrej and jenny explain further int he full review, but after this test I am not sure if I like it or not.
The test was below par returning just a 46% RTP for the session made up of 17 winning spins, with the top base game win coming in at 12.6x.
There wasn't a huge amount of other action and the game plays quite slowly, so the 17 wins took some time, and average out at just 2.73x per win
Devil's Crossroad Expert Review
Game Data
There seems to be plenty of people around who would do anything to be famous. Some have such a strong thirst for fame that they'd possibly make a deal with the Devil himself. However, the Devil's Crossroad game tells us that people should remember that the Devil holds all of the cards in these situations.
When playing this game of darkness there's a superb free spins round titled Redemption Spins where coins land in the area and they all have values to help you bag some wins which have been aptly named Gluttony, Wrath, Lust, Greed, Envy and Pride.
During this in-depth Devil's Crossroad slot review, you’ll be able to read about all aspects of this devilish release so let’s crack on!

Graphics, Music, and Sound Effects
The graphics are pure excellence as expected from a NLC title, they are the masters at dark storytelling. As you'd expect for a game about the devil expect to see plenty of reds and black hues on your screen. The music sounds like a score from a Hollywood film which sets the scene perfectly for the story. And the sound effects are traditional slot game noises.
Key Features
Theme - The Devil
The game is fronted by Satan himself and he features heavily during the gaming experience. The background imagery in the bonus game is kooky rather than scary, you're brought into Mr Lucy's office which is decorated with candles and an odd-looking four-eyed cat. There are amusing graphics such as when flipping between the base and bonus games you see a contract waiting to be signed by Mr Lucy's unwitting victims...I mean clients.
On the grid, you'll see some of his clients which in order of highest value first are a man wearing lots of gold (who looks a lot like the human version of Mr Lucy), a woman singing, a man smoking a cigar, a male gamer and a woman taking a selfie. These are then followed by the standard symbols of A, K, Q, J and 10.
Reels & Paylines
Due to the Devil's Crossroad setup there are not traditional reels and paylines - instead there is a grid divided into four sections.
RTP
You've probably seen RTP written on slot sites and this stands for return to player which is a theoretical figure telling you what percentage of your stakes will be returned over the long run. Nowadays you should expect to see around 96%. The Devil's Crossroad slot game comes in ever-so-slightly above at 96.06%.
Nolimit City like most providers, uses this RTP as a default amount so if you shop around you'll discover different RTP rates across various sites. We've saved you some time and checked a few rates at some of the top UK online casinos and added them to the table below.
RTP is just one factor to think about when deciding which site to play at. Other factors to consider include the amount of games, customer service support, options for payment choices and welcome bonuses and deals. Stake Range
The Devil's Crossroad game has a wide bet range which starts at £0.20 and goes right up to £200.
Max Win
The max win feature of all NLC games are given a name and in the case of the Devil's Crossroad it's entitled 'Debt to be Paid.' Here the max payout is 13,180x your stake.
Wild Symbol
Wilds are depicted by Cross Wilds for the Devil's Crossroad game and any paying symbol landing next to the centre position may randomly become a Wild symbol.
Free Spins
If you land 4 Scatters you'll enter the Redemption Spins bonus round. The bonus feature starts with 3 spins and will reset to 3 spins every time a coin lands in the reel area. This round is all about the coins and all coin values are valued as times the active bet. When a column is filled with coins a feature will be awarded to you for that column on each following spin. The feature affects coins on the column it is on and here is a breakdown of the features:
- Gluttony - add its value to all coins value.
- Wrath - multiplies the value of a randomly selected coin on its row/column.
- Lust - progresses a step towards upgrading Redemption Spins.
- Greed - it selects a random coin from its row/column which collects all the coin values from its column/row respectively.
- Envy - Turns a randomly selected coin’s value into a copy of the highest current coin value in the entire reel area.
- Pride - It selects a random coin from its row/column and adds its value to all other coins on its column/row respectively.
Redemption Spins can be upgraded in two ways - either by collecting 4 levels in the upgrade bar or when all 4 Scatter lands next to center position in the main game. The upgrade bar collects 1 level either for each Lust feature triggered or for each Scatter landing next to the center position in the main game. Upgraded Redemption Spins triggers a feature for its row in addition to column. The Devil coin is a special coin that can land during Redemption Spins and unlocks feature of it’s column. If Redemption Spins is upgraded then it also triggers a feature for it’s row.
Jackpot
Like most modern-day slot games, Devil's Crossroad doesn't have a jackpot element. If jackpots are your thing you should visit our page with the biggest progressive jackpots slots.
Play Experience & First Impressions
I liked the look of the reel area of the Devil's Crossroad - as mentioned already, it's divided into four cross sections and it mixes play up when a symbol lands next to the centre and morphs into a Wild. The Redemption Spins bonus round was fun once I understood the coin mechanic, glow-up progress meter and heart. Basically, you can be upgraded once you either collect 4 levels in the progress bar or land 3 Scatters in the centre position.
The Scatter symbol - which is depicted by what else but a pentagon - appears in the centre row/column of their cross-section and was a fun feature. Here, when a Scatter appears next to the centre position, the remaining symbols in its cross-section become inactive and symbols of the same type are removed from the other cross-sections. Removed symbols can no longer appear for the remaining drops. Each symbol removed this way increases its cross-section multiplier by 1 which can add up.
The Cross Multiplier symbol is one to look out for too. When a win occurs then the same kind of symbol will be removed from the other cross sections if they are not a part of the win. Each symbol removed this way increases its cross-section multiplier by 1. Wins are multiplied by their respective cross-section multiplier.
Expert Verdict
I've reviewed several darker-themed slot games recently, I wonder why that is? Maybe it's that time of year as I'm writing this review in early January and slots players are craving something edgier. There have been some top games released recently including Blade & Fangs, Dark Summoning and Hellapenos. The Devil's Crossroad game is instantly recognisable as an NLC game due to its artwork, features and strong storyline, I always look forward to reviewing new NLC releases.
When reading the names within the free spins bonus - Gluttony, Wrath, Lust, Greed, Envy and Pride - I had a memory of that gruesome scene from the film Seven in my mind but this game does not push the boundaries like that film did. This game is not as risqué as other NLC games - the ones from 2023 that spring to mind are Disturbed and True Kult but it's entertaining nonetheless. The base game was less hell-themed than I expected, showing a road with an actual crossroad in the middle whereas I expected more of a metaphorical crossroad but that might just be my interpretation. RTP is about right for a NLC game at 96.06% and it's not an extremely high volatility title like most NLC games - Devil's Crossroad is classed as high. I had a blast playing this game, it's not one of my favourites but it ticked lots of boxes.
