100 Spins Test

This 100 Spin test was updated by Steve Madgwick on  22/12/2023

100 spins is not a Real Test

We give every slot a 100 spin test to see just what it can do, or not as the case can often be - 100 spins is no reflection of the likelihood of any other 100-spin session, as RTP's are set over many millions and probably billions of spins. So this 100 spin test is just for entertainment and insight purposes

Test Comments

A stunning test session with the bonus landing after just 35 spins, and paying a monster 375x among 20 winning spins in the 100 spin test returning a session RTP of a huge 421.5% - There was a decent few base game wins as well, topping out with one at 12.5x, and a final average winning spin value of 21.07x hugely boosted by the bonus round, but even removing that a quite decent 24x average win value

Key Features

Written by Slots Content Manager Jenny Mason

Now that I've told you about the summary, intro, graphics, music, and sound effects, next up I'm going to cover the key features.

Here  at OLBG we create slot games reviews that include up-to-date info about all of the important features such as the theme, paylines, bet range, and bonuses. I’ll conclude the review by talking about the play experience, first impressions and expert verdict.

Theme – Horror

The horror theme is a strong point for this slot game, the Devil is depicted as a particularly scary-looking muscled-up Satan complete with talons, horns, red eyes, and a tail. During the Rise to Salvation round, the Reaper comes into his own and the reference to the shadowy realm makes a whole heap of sense as you can see a blue tunnel of light connecting the two worlds.

The grid is designed with a stone effect which contains several mystical symbols. In order from the highest value, they are Baphomet (a sign of the devil), The Eye of Providence, a crow, a fly and a pair of scissors. These are then followed by the standard symbols of A, K, Q J and 10.

You can play the classic setup of 5 reels by 5 rows when playing the Dark Summoning slot game.

Landing winning combos with the Dark Summoning slot game is possible on 24 non-adjustable paylines.

RTP or 'return to player' as you may have seen in written is a way of telling players what percentage (theoratically) of stakes will be returned to them in the long term. The figure is usually somewhere between 94% and 96%. Dark Summoning is 96.36% which is above average.

Like all other slot creators, Hacksaw Gaming uses this RTP rate as a default value so if you look around, you’ll find different RTPs at various slot sites. However, we’ve saved you some time and have listed a few different percentages at some of the top UK online casinos which you'll find in the table below.

When deciding which site to play at there are a few things to think about in addition to RTP. You should also look at payment options, the game library, customer support and welcome bonuses and deals.

Stake Range

There's a wide stake range for the Dark Summoning slot game which starts at £0.10 and goes right up to £100 which is Hacksaw's usual amount.

Max Win

The max win amount for the Dark Summoning slot game is 10,666x your stake.

Wild Shape

When playing Dark Summoning the Wild symbols substitute for all other symbols in the paytable. As mentioned earlier in the review, there are two Wild symbols, a blue Wild and a red Wild. The blue Wild appears in the base game and in the Rise to Salvation bonus feature. The red Wild appears in the Trial by Hellfire bonus feature. A Wild symbol can have one of the following multiplier values: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x.

Free Spins

There are two free spins round to enjoy during the Dark Summoning game. Firstly there's the Trial By Hellfire bonus round where landing 3 Unholy Symbols during the base game gets you 10 free spins in this bonus round. During the bonus, all winning positions are marked by Hellfire. When an Unholy Symbol lands it will activate something called the Fires of Hell feature. During this feature the Unholy Symbol and all symbols on positions marked by Hellfire are replaced with Wild symbols.

Secondly there is the Rise To Salvation Bonus which is also triggered by 3 Unholy Symbols during the base game but you also need an Order symbol to be present when the third Unholy symbol is collected. You receive 10 free spins during this bonus round. During the bonus, the symbol drop and the cascade direction is reversed so that symbols move upwards instead of downwards which is pretty nifty. Also, there are special Lost Soul Symbols and when one lands, it stays on the reels until the end of the free spins or until it Ascends. Lost Souls move upward together with other cascading symbols to fill the empty spaces left behind by wins that have been removed. The Lost Soul Symbols come in two variants which are a Global Multiplier Lost Soul and a Cash Prize Lost Soul. When they Ascend, these Souls either add a value to the Global Multiplier which is above the reels, or they can award a cash prize.

Like most modern-day slot games there is no jackpot award within the Dark Summoning slot game. If jackpots are your thing you should take a look at our page with the biggest jackpot slot games.

Play Experience & First Impressions

Expert Verdict

Written by our Slots Content Manager Jenny Mason

Dark Summoning was a welcome break from the cuddly animals and seasonal slot genres, it's certainly very dark but isn't it great to mix things up sometimes? The characters and storyline were a strong selling point of the slot game, the imagery was certainly scary. I liked the differentiation of the red and blue symbols, red and blue worlds and red and blue characters It looked superb and made the game easier to follow. There are some nice touches such as the cascade direction reversing during the Rise To Salvation Bonus meaning that symbols move upwards instead of downwards and the lost souls ascend. It appears that a lot of work has gone into this game, it's not just something quickly knocked up like some slot games can appear to be. The RTP is the highest I've seen in a while at 96.36% so that was impressive. I'm a fan of quirky Hacksaw slot games and this title is no exception. The last game was Xmas Drop which was very lighthearted and previous to that Immortal Desire was released which was also macabre but highly entertaining so Dark Summoning is covering all genres. This game gets a huge thumbs-up from the OLBG team.
