Dead Riders Trail has an upbeat/hip-hop-style soundtrack which fits the game perfectly.

Onto the symbols. There are low-value clubs, spades, diamonds and hearts with the higher-value symbols represented by 4 members of the gang: Two-Knife, Sniper, Payer and the Leader. Finally, there is the Dead Riders Trail logo symbol which pays the most (1 times bet for 6 across a payline). You’ll also notice grey stone blocks which award no wins.

Dead Riders Trail is not short of special symbols but they appear in the Free Spins and Bonus Trail features. In the base game though, there is a Route 666 Wild symbol which substitutes for all paying symbols above. Dead Riders Trail Mobile

Dead Riders Trail slot has 5 bonus features. Wins lead to cascades and clearing all stone blocks leads to a spin of the Feature Wheel. Cascades

Across the reels, in the base game, between 3 and 24 grey stone blocks will be present. When a winning combination forms, the Cascades feature will be triggered. With winning symbols destroyed, stone blocks to the left, right and below the winning symbols will also be destroyed in the process.

The remaining symbols on the reels drop down to fill the empty spaces with new symbols cascading in to fill the spaces. If another winning combination is formed, the process repeats itself until no more new wins are created. This feature is common in Megaways games and Cluster Pays slots.

Feature Wheel

Destroying all stone blocks from cascades will result in a spin of the Feature Wheel. This can reward you with:

• 4 or 7 free spins in the Free Spins feature
• Access to the Bonus Trail feature
• Entry to the Super Bonus Trail feature

If you land on free spins, you can gamble to activate the Bonus Trail feature. You play the knife game (otherwise known as Five Finger Fillet) where you attempt to stab between your fingers with a knife. If you don’t sever a finger, you’ll win the gamble and play the Bonus Trail feature. Losing the gamble results in a return to the base game.

Free Spins

If you play the Free Spins feature, look out for the Bomb symbol which comes attached to some stone blocks. Any adjacent win to a Bomb symbol will make the bomb go off and explode.

Exploding Bombs cover the entire reel and transform all symbols on that reel into the same symbol. The transformed symbol is chosen to generate the biggest possible win for you. If you clear the reels from all stone blocks, 3 additional free spins will be won (with no limits).

Bonus Trail

The Bonus Trail feature can be triggered, like the free spins, from the Feature Wheel. You come across a trail where the player pawn moves 1 to 6 steps on every turn. Beginning with 3 fuel cans or lives, 1 fuel can/life is removed after each turn.

Some tiles on the trail contain fuel cans/lives that reset the meter. The feature ends naturally when you run out of fuel.

However, navigating around the bonus trail will see a 3 x bet multiplier prize added to all normal tiles with 1 fuel added to the meter. Each tile will award a bet multiplier prize or a truck. Silver Truck Tiles award a modifier whilst Golden Truck Tiles award a persistent modifier or the Collect All modifier. Importantly, below is a list of all modifiers you’ll encounter in the Bonus Trail feature:

• Cash: A bet multiplier prize between 25 and 50x will be awarded
• Sniper: 3-6 normal tiles are randomly selected with their values doubled by 2
• Payer: A value between 3-10x is added to all normal tiles
• Two-Knife: Adds a value of 50-200x to 2-4 randomly chosen normal tiles
• Refuel: 2-4 fuel cans/lives are placed randomly on normal tiles
• Shoot Back: The value of the total win is placed on 1-3 random normal tiles
• Collect: The values of the 4 closest normal tiles are collected
• Collect All: All values for the normal tiles are collected
• Persistent Sniper: 3-6 normal tiles are randomly chosen with their values doubled on every turn
• Persistent Payer: A value between 3-10x is added to all normal tiles on every turn
• Persistent Two-Knife: Adds a value of 50-200x to a normal tile on every turn

Super Bonus Trail

The Super Bonus Trail feature can be triggered from the Feature Wheel. It’s the same as the Bonus Trail feature but the Silver Truck Tile close to the start of trail is replaced with a Golden Truck Tile. This dramatically improves your chances of landing a Persistent modifier.

The Golden Truck Tiles are of particular interest as these will lead to Persistent modifiers or the Collect All modifier. Persistent modifiers apply on each turn until you run out of fuel. I found the Refuel modifier beneficial though as it adds more fuel cans to the trail which keeps the action going for longer.

However, the Shoot Back modifier can see your total win added on up to 3 random normal tiles. If you’re lucky enough to land on that tile and have built up a big win, prepare for some serious loot. The Collect All modifier is also another one to look out for as it collects all normal tile values on the board.

Offering 50,000 times bet max wins, the Dead Riders Trail slot is an excellent ‘trail’ game which has become one of Relax Gaming’s most popular titles.

It has similarities to Relax’ iconic Money Train 4 but the latter can hand out 150,000 times bet max wins.
