John Cena Prepares for WWE Farewell This Saturday

This weekend marks the end of an era as John Cena steps into the ring for the final time in his legendary WWE career.

The 17-time world champion will face Gunther in a blockbuster send-off at Saturday Night’s Main Event, with betting sites pricing Cena at 5/2 to pull off a final upset.

While his in-ring days are coming to an end, Cena confirmed he’s far from finished with WWE.

“I will be an ambassador to WWE. I am already signed on for another five years,” said Cena this week. “I’d like to be in this family as long as I can.”

Bookmakers have Cena as the underdog but as we've seen time and time again, anything can happen in the WWE.

Cena vs Gunther: A Legacy vs Dominance Clash

Gunther is the heavy favourite at 1/4 to defeat Cena in what is set to be an emotional final showing.

Still, sentiment and storytelling have always played a major role in WWE outcomes and a 5/2 Cena win isn’t out of the question if WWE wants to deliver a feel-good farewell.

Expect plenty of throwback moves and exciting moments throughout the match and the night.

What the expert says...
There’s always room for a shock in a Cena send-off, but Gunther’s momentum suggests this will be more of a passing of the torch moment than a nostalgia win.
