Eddie Nketiah is 1/4 to be the Premier League's mystery rapper DIDE

One of the biggest stories of the Premier League season off the pitch has been around the mystery rapper DIDE after going viral in recent months.

We've come a long way since John Barnes rapped on New Order's World In Motion and until then we've not seen a Premier League player become a serious rapper off the pitch.

Now though there's DIDE whose YouTube channel describes him as a "Premier league footballer (who) jumps in the UK music scene," in a video back on Valentine's Day earlier this year.

Bookies have since offered odds on who the rapper is with Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah the heavy favourite at 1/4 to be revealed as the mystery music sensation.

With DIDE an anagram of Eddi and lyrics such as 'my team stay winning', which could relate to Arsenal's good season, it could well be Nketiah who is the player in question.

What the expert says..
Eddie Nketiah is now as short as 1/4 to be Premier League mystery rapper DIDE with different reports and rumours linking him with being a musician off the pitch!

Everton player Alex Iwobi is 3/1 second favourite

Alex Iwobi is second in the betting market at 3/1 to be masked as DIDE following an interview where he has spoke about his musical interests.

Iwobi stated that as long as he's doing his talking on the pitch he should be able to do whatever he wants musically off it.

Everton boss Sean Dyche was asked if he has any secret rappers within his squad and understandably answered, “Seriously, I can’t catch my breath. That even gets a question?”

Further players feature in the betting market

The full betting market for who DIDE is features numerous Premier League footballers including Nketiah's Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka at 5/1.

Saka has been one of Arsenal's best players this season and part of that may be down to him showing his talents off the pitch too as a rapper.

Wilfried Zaha has been another footballer who has been linked with being DIDE and his odds say there's a 12% chance that he is.

Who is DIDE? Odds Probability
Eddie Nketiah 1/4 80.0%
Alex Iwobi 3/1 25.0%
Bukayo Saka 5/1 16.7%
Wilfried Zaha 7/1 12.5%
Eberechi Eze 9/1 10.0%
Ivan Toney 12/1 7.7%
