Bookies give 11/8 odds that we see record temperatures in July in the UK

Bookies give 11/8 odds that we see record temperatures in July in the UK as another round of heatwaves looks set to come next week.

Next Tuesday (19th July) is expected to see temperatures hit 36 degrees at Heathrow Airport with the July record currently at 38.7c.

It's expected that we'll get extremely close to those figures, with the odds only 4/5 that there won't be record temperatures this month.

Smarkets give odds on this market and it is ever changing with the odds going up and down throughout the last 24 hours.

Bookies now go 11/8 that we will see record temperatures for July in the next two weeks. Heatwaves are expected towards the beginning of next week.

Bookies give further specials with 5/1 odds that there's a hosepipe ban in London in July

Temperatures have risen across the UK and bookies are now providing warm weather specials on a variety of outcomes this month.

Odds of a hosepipe ban in London are 5/1, with a nationwide ban just above that at 7/1 as weather soars over the next week.

The last full hosepipe ban in England was back in 2012, with Northern Ireland having a ban in 2018 and breaking the rules can result in a £1000 fine if it was to happen.

July Weather Specials Odds Probability
Temperature in London to exceed 35 degrees 4/5 55.6%
Britain to record hottest ever July day 7/2 22.2%
Hosepipe ban in London in July 5/1 16.7%
Hosepipe ban nationwide in July 7/1 12.5%
Temperature in London to exceed 45 degrees 10/1 9.1%

Bookies go 7/2 that we see the hottest day ever in the UK in 2022

The constant climate change means that there are a whole host of betting specials around the weather in the UK for the rest of 2022.

It's not a surprise to see bookmakers offering odds on any day having the most rainfall EVER in the UK for the rest of 2022 as the UK is know for its rain.

2022 Weather Specials Odds Probability
UK to record highest ever temperature in 2022 7/2 22.2%
Snow on Christmas Day in London 11/2 15.4%
Any single day to record most rainfall in UK History
10/1 9.1%
Any single day to record most snowfall in UK History
16/1 5.9%
UK to record lowest ever temperature in 2022
20/1 4.8%

These special odds have remained the same since our report last month with bookies taking no chances on the weather specials markets.

Bookmakers stay at 11/2 that there will be snow on Christmas Day in London despite the warm weather we've been having these last few months.
