Twitter betting specials have grown more and more popular since the aqcuisition of the company by Elon Musk and that continues here with odds given on who will be the most followed user on the platform by the end of the year.

It's Twitter owner Musk himself that is the heavy favourite at 1/5 with bookmakers to be the most followed account on his own platform as he storms clear in the most followed user list.

Musk is the owner but stepped down as CEO of Twitter and was replaced by Linda Yaccarino in the role at the start of June.

The latest betting odds say that there's an 83% chance that Musk remains top of the most followed list by the end of the year as he sits 14m followers clear at the top of the list.

Former US President Barack Obama has dropped below Musk in the follower count table

Musk has been flying in the Twitter follower charts with his account sitting below Barack Obama in terms of total followers as soon ago as February.

Musk now though is well clear of the former US President with 14m followers more than second place in the so called Twitter follower leaderboard.

Cristiano Ronaldo entered the most followed top 5 earlier this year and he has been one of the few in that top 5 that have been gaining followers rather than losing them.

Odds also given on Musk selling Twitter in 2023 with the purchase a headache for the businessman

Elon Musk could also end up selling Twitter at some point this year with bookmakers also offering betting odds on whether or not he will end up selling the business.

Back in March Musk told Twitter employees that the company was now worth less than half of what he originally paid for it according to reports from the Wall Street Journal.

Bookies say there's a 16% chance that he sells Twitter at some point before the end of the year and he could well decide to sell the company and leave with his tail between his legs.
