Elon Musk is now 1/5 to have the most followed account on Twitter by the end of the year
Bookies are offering specials on who will have the most followers on social media platform Twitter by the end of 2023.
The latest betting odds suggest that Twitter CEO Elon Musk will become the most followed account by the end of the year and his statistics show there's a good chance.
Musk is currently the fastest growing user on the platform and has been since the takeover with more than 40m followers gained since he originally announced he was buying Twitter.
Most Followed Twitter Account by end of 2023 | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
@elonmusk | 1/5 | 83.3% |
@BarackObama | 9/2 | 18.2% |
@Cristiano | 12/1 | 7.7% |
@realDonaldTrump | 18/1 | 5.3% |
@narendramodi | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Former US President Donald Trump is an 18/1 shot to be the most followed account and his presidential run may well see a surge in followers again.
Bookmakers though think there's a longshot of that happening though with just a 5.3% chance of Trump taking over the top spot according to the odds.
Other Musk specials include him winning the Time Person of the Year award this year
Betting odds are also offered for 2023's Time Person of the Year award with Elon Musk the 6/4 favourite to win the award according to bookies.
Musk won the Time Person of the Year award back in 2021 due to his 'disruptive impact on the automobile and aerospace industries' in the year.
Two years on, his role as Twitter CEO and work on other businesses give him a 40% chance of winning the award according to the latest odds from Paddy Power.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy won the award last year following the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine and there's a 16% chance that he wins it again this year.
