I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Lewis Cope (3/1) becomes new Strictly favourite after replacing Kristian Nairn.
  • Previous Emmerdale replacement Kelvin Fletcher won in 2019.
  • Ellie Goldstein (10/3) and Dani Dyer (9/2) lead the chasing pack.

Emmerdale Star Lewis Cope New Favourite

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 has a brand-new favourite after Emmerdale star Lewis Cope stepped in as a last-minute replacement for Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn, who withdrew from the competition.

Bookmakers reacted instantly to the switch, with William Hill pricing Cope as the 3/1 market leader to lift the Glitterball trophy.

Punters will recall a similar storyline back in 2019 when Kelvin Fletcher replaced Jamie Laing and went on to win the series alongside Oti Mabuse.

That precedent has only strengthened confidence that Cope could repeat history in 2025.

Bookies React to Cope’s Entry

Replacing Kristian Nairn has immediately shifted the betting market, with bookmakers weighing in heavily on Cope’s chances.

His soap-star profile, along with a loyal fanbase, has already seen strong early support.

Ellie Goldstein (10/3) and Dani Dyer (9/2) remain close in the market, while outsider appeal sits with Vicky Pattison and George Clarke (both 10/1).

Goldstein was previously the early favourite in the odds list but all has changed as we enter just days away from the opening show.
