  • Chloe Kelly is 10/11 favourite with William Hill for SPOTY 2025 after England’s EUROs triumph.
  • Rory McIlroy (15/8) and Hannah Hampton (7/1) follow in the betting.
  • Lando Norris (12/1) could shorten if he wins the Formula 1 title.

Kelly Tops Market After EUROs Glory

The summer of 2025 belonged to Chloe Kelly, who once again delivered for England’s women’s team at the European Championships.

Her performances saw the Lionesses crowned champions and bookmakers wasted no time in moving her into favourite for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2025.

Kelly is now 10/11 with William Hill to claim the award, reflecting both her on-pitch success and her popularity with the British sporting public.

The Lionesses have dominated the SPOTY award in recent years with two of the last three going to teammates of Chloe Kelly in 2022 with Beth Mead and 2023 with Mary Earps.

More of the same is expected here with England's Euros victory and Kelly is now given a 52.4% chance of winning according to the odds.

What the expert says...
Chloe Kelly deserves her spot as odds-on favourite, but Rory McIlroy is still a serious contender. For value, Lando Norris at 12/1 could become the story of the year with an F1 title.

Other Contenders

Before the EUROs, Rory McIlroy had led the betting after securing victory at the Masters, one of golf’s most prestigious prizes.

The Northern Irishman remains a strong contender at 15/8, particularly if he can add further silverware before the year is out.

Hannah Hampton, another Lioness who starred between the posts, sits third favourite at 7/1 reflecting her importance in England’s defensive success.

Lando Norris is currently priced at 12/1, but those odds could tumble if the McLaren driver goes on to secure the F1 Drivers Championship in the final stretch of the season.
