Royal Family betting is growing in popularity more and more in recent months and it's no different here with bookmakers offering odds on a potential referendum on the Monarchy.

A recent YouGov poll has shown that there's a nine point increase in the desire for a referendum since last September with support growing for a vote against the Monarchy.

This has also been shown in the betting odds with the Smarkets now saying there's an 8/1 chance of a referendum in the UK on the monarchy before 2025.

These odds suggest there's an 11% chance of it happening with the odds changing slightly in the past few weeks as we get closer to the Coronation.

Canada and Australia are now both just 4/1 to have a referendum on retaining the Monarchy

Betting sites also give odds on both Australia and Canada to hold referendum's on abolishing the Monarchy in their individual countries with the odds dropping month-by-month.

According to the latest odds there's now a 20% chance that we see a referendum around the Monarchy in either Australia or Canada at some point in the next 18 months.

These odds have slashed in half from the 8/1 that they both were at back at the start of April with a referendum looking more and more likely in both countries.

Reports from Al Jazeera back in November said that the debate was reignited for a referendum in Australia following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
