  • Max Verstappen is 5/4 favourite to win Qatar Grand Prix after Vegas win.
  • Lando Norris leads title race but needs strong result to stay in control.
  • 58 points still available across final two races of F1 2025 season.

Verstappen favourite for Qatar Grand Prix

Max Verstappen is the 5/4 favourite with bookmakers to win this weekend’s Qatar Grand Prix, with the Formula One world heading to Lusail for the penultimate race of a dramatic 2025 season.

After a dominant drive in Las Vegas, the Red Bull star looks primed to pile the pressure on current leader Lando Norris, who is now just 24 points ahead in the drivers’ standings.

Norris’ chances took a major hit last week when both McLaren cars were disqualified for technical infringements, costing him valuable points and setting up a thrilling finale.

Bet365's latest market gives a 44.4% chance of Verstappen winning the Grand Prix this weekend.

Championship Battle Heats Up

Norris enters Qatar as championship leader, but his DQ in Vegas has reopened the title race.

Both Piastri and Verstappen now sit on 366 points, 24 behind the Brit with 58 still up for grabs across Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

The sprint format returns this weekend, meaning Norris could wrap up the title on Sunday but only if he outperforms both rivals significantly across qualifying, sprint and race.

He’ll need to score at least two more points than both Verstappen and Piastri in Qatar to clinch the title before the final race.

Lando is 2/7 to win the Championship with Max given an 11/4 shot.
