Anora is now odds-on favourite to win Best Picture at the 2025 Oscars

Betting odds on the Best Picture award at the 2025 Academy Awards have been flipped right around in the past week with Anora now moving into odds-on favourite with UK Betting Sites for the top award.

Emilia Pérez and The Brutalist seemed to be the two frontrunners for the Best Picture award after a successful display at last month's Golden Globes but that has since changed following success for Anora in recent weeks.

Anora won best picture at the Critics Choice awards earlier this month before winning the PGA Award for Theatrical Motion Picture which instantly saw the film's odds slashed from 4/1 into 2/5 for Best Picture.

William Hill's latest market gives an implied probability of 71.4% that Anora is crowned Best Picture at the 2025 Oscars ceremony at the beginning of March.

Former favourite The Brutalist drifts out to 3/1 in the latest market

The Brutalist has now moved out to 3/1 to win Best Picture at the Oscars after spending the best part of the last 3 months as the betting favourite for the award.

Brady Corbet's movie looks at László Tóth, a Hungarian-born Jewish architect who survives the holocaust and emigrates to the United States to pursue the American dream.

Last month the film was as short as 1/2 for the Best Picture award but it has since gone out to 3/1 with a 25% implied probability now given that it wins the big award on the night.
