Oppenheimer now moves into 5/4 favourite to win the Best Picture award at the 2024 Oscars
The 2024 Oscars hype has already started following a massive summer of movies and Oppenheimer is now the 5/4 favourite with UK Betting Sites to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
Oppenheimer has slowly shortened week-by-week since its release and now sits at the top of the betting market to win the coveted Best Picture award at the 2024 ceremony.
Killers of the Flower Moon had long been favourite for the award but has drifted in recent weeks with Oppenheimer's Box Office success playing a big part in the betting market change.
Oppenheimer has made more than $840m worldwide and although hasn't come near the Box Office success of fellow summer release Barbie it's still been a strong player in cinema.
William Hill now say there's a 44% chance of Oppenheimer winning the Best Picture award at the 2024 Oscars will Killers of the Flower Moon not far behind.

Killers of the Flower Moon drifts in the betting market
Martin Scorsese's latest release Killers of the Flower Moon has drifted in the odds to win Best Picture and that will largely be because the film is yet to be released.
The movie is pencilled in to come out next month and this will start to see hype surround it once again to win various awards with the current odds for Best Picture for the movie at 7/4.
Killers of the Flower Moon is expected to be a major player at the Oscars with Leonardo DiCaprio playing a starring role in the Apple Original movie.

Christopher Nolan odds-on to win his first ever Best Director Oscar
Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan is the favourite to win the Best Director Oscar at next year's Academy Awards with the famous director still looking for his first win.
Nolan has received 5 nominations so far in his career at the Oscars but has still not won Best Director, Best Picture or Best Adapted Screenplay in the 22 years since he was first nominated.
The release of Oppenheimer could change things though with this movie seeming like the first that ticks a whole load of boxes that the Academy look for including it being a biopic.
Nolan has moved from 6/4 to odds-on now at 10/11 to win Best Director with the betting odds pointing at him finally winning an Oscar.
