OLBG-Sponsored Duo Harry Derham & Paul O’Brien Send Dargiannini to Cheltenham at 100/1
Day 2 of the Cheltenham Festival brings another full card of competitive racing and bookmakers are offering markets across the afternoon’s seven races.
Among the runners on today’s card is Dargiannini, trained by OLBG-sponsored Harry Derham and ridden by Paul O’Brien, who lines up in the BetMGM Cup at 2:40pm.
The experienced runner heads into the race as one of the outsiders in the betting market, currently priced at 100/1 with BetMGM, who are also paying six places each-way on the contest.
While the odds suggest a tough task against a competitive field, connections are hopeful the veteran could still run a strong race.

Dargiannini Set for BetMGM Cup Challenge
The BetMGM Cup is traditionally one of the more competitive handicaps on the Cheltenham Festival card.
Several well-fancied contenders sit near the top of the betting market, but Dargiannini’s connections are looking forward to giving the horse a chance to compete on racing’s biggest stage.
Trainer Harry Derham said ahead of the race:
“He's in good nick, he's fresh, galloped really nicely around Kempton the other day.
He's in good shape, looking forward to running him. He's not getting any younger but he's been a fabulous servant for us.
His owners Andy and Julie Mitchell wanted to have a runner at the Festival with him at some stage and we're gonna let him take his chance.”
Cheltenham Festival Always Brings Big Opportunities
Even runners at bigger odds can sometimes produce memorable performances during the Cheltenham Festival, particularly in the competitive handicap races.
While 100/1 suggests Dargiannini faces a significant challenge, the extended six places each-way being offered by BetMGM could attract interest from bettors looking for an outsider with experience.
With thousands of fans watching across the UK and Ireland, even a strong placed effort would represent a notable performance.
