The BetMGM Cup is traditionally one of the more competitive handicaps on the Cheltenham Festival card.
Several well-fancied contenders sit near the top of the betting market, but Dargiannini’s connections are looking forward to giving the horse a chance to compete on racing’s biggest stage.
Trainer Harry Derham said ahead of the race:
“He's in good nick, he's fresh, galloped really nicely around Kempton the other day.
He's in good shape, looking forward to running him. He's not getting any younger but he's been a fabulous servant for us.
His owners Andy and Julie Mitchell wanted to have a runner at the Festival with him at some stage and we're gonna let him take his chance.”
