North Carolina is expected to be a Republican state at the 2024 US Presidential Election according to the latest odds
Fresh from winning in the state four years ago, Donald Trump is once again favourite to win in North Carolina with betting sites making the Republican party the 1/2 favourites in the state for the 2024 US Presidential Election.
Trump held his first outdoor rally since the failed assassination attempt on his life and chose North Carolina as the place to do so with the former President speaking behind bulletproof glass.
Both parties know the importance that North Carolina will have in this year's election with the state handing Trump his closest margin of victory across a state at the 2020 election.
Once again this time around it will be a big battleground and the Asheboro lapped up Trump's words during his rally earlier this week, with Bet365 now giving his party a 66% chance of winning.
2024 Presidential Election - North Carolina | Fractional Odds | Moneyline | Probability |
---|---|---|---|
Republicans | 1/2 | -200 | 66.7% |
Democrats | 6/4 | +150 | 40.0% |

Latest polling figures all give Trump a lead with aggregate figures at +1.3
Polling reports have been frequently given in the past few weeks with an aggregate look at how each state is currently looking from both RealClearPolitics and 270ToWin.
Both of these poll aggregators give Trump a lead in North Carolina with a +1.2 and +1.4 margin given respectively for each but it could well be tighter than that when it comes to polling day in November.
Trump will know that this state can swing either way and that's a key reason why he has been campaigning so hard in North Carolina in the past week.

Kamala Harris gave speech last night at Democratic National Convention
Kamala Harris officially accepted the Democratic presidential nomination on Thursday evening during the Democratic National Convention and she spoke in detail about Trump at the conference.
Harris has regularly used the chant “We’re not going back!” during her rallies in the past month and she got the crowd to chant it again in Chicago's United Center last night.
History could be made at the election in November with Harris looking to become the first woman to serve as President in the United States but she has not focused on that historic outcome at all during her campaigns.
