Miles Teller is back into favourite with bookmakers at 2/1 to be the next Superman following DC Studios new co-chairman James Gunn announcing a new direction for the character.
Teller was favourite back in January book had since drifted in the betting market with British actor Nicholas Hoult being backed in to favourite but the market has now changed.
Michael B. Jordan was the early favourite with bookies for the role at 5/4 but his odds have drifted right out to 5/1.
Teller was one of the stars of Top Gun: Maverick which was one of the biggest movies of 2022 and that role will have opened up even further acting possibilities for the future.

British actor Nicholas Hoult was favourite to be the next Superman just last month but has since drifted right out to 5/1 in the market for the vacant role.
Hoult is known for X-Men and Skins in the UK and the latest odds suggest he has a 16% chance of becoming the next Superman with DC looking for a new leading actor.
There are no concrete rumours over who will get the role yet although Variety reported director James Gunn dismissing rumours of some actors.
Former Superman Henry Cavill is fourth favourite to be next James Bondc
Henry Cavill is now the 4th favourite with bookmakers to be the next James Bond after he left the role as Superman towards the back end of last year.
The British actor has been linked with the James Bond role in the past and the stars could have aligned for him play the famous 007 role.
Betway make him fourth favourite in the betting market which has changed drastically in the past few weeks with new actors at the top of the market.
