Theo James now 6/4 favourite to be the next James Bond
Excitement ramps up for the next James Bond with the betting market flipping around once again with Theo James moving into favourite to play the iconic character.
Back on Boxing Day, Theo James had been a market mover for the role with his odds tumbling from 7/2 into 7/4 after a surge of bets were placed on the actor.
That wasn't enough to put him as the favourite at the time but now he is clear at the top of the odds list with UK Betting Sites putting him at 6/4 to play James Bond next.
William Hill's latest odds give an implied probability of 40% that James is picked to be the next James Bond with the odds putting him alone at the top of the market.

What the expert says...
Aaron Taylor-Johnson still around the top spots in the betting market
Aaron Taylor-Johnson had been a long-time favourite throughout 2024 for the James Bond role but has since drifted in the market with the odds putting him at 2/1 to play the spy.
Taylor-Johnson has consistently stayed in and around the favourites in the betting market to play Bond next and that stays the same with the actor sitting as second favourite in the market.
The actor was asked about his chances of starring as Bond on US talk show Good Morning America with Host Michael Strahan asking, "There’s been a lot of speculation about the next 007... Would you slip on the tuxedo, if asked?".
Taylor-Johnson responded coyly while promoting Kraven the Hunter saying, "I wear a tuxedo in this. You should come see this movie. Honestly, it’s got a ton of action and it’s a thrill ride honestly."

Josh O'Connor drifts out to third favourite in the latest market
The Crown star Josh O'Connor had been the new favourite in the next James Bond market last month but he has since drifted out to third favourite.
O'Connor was as short as evens to play Bond next but the interest on him has cooled in the betting odds with the actor coming out to 5/2 now.
It's clear that the bookmakers are as in the dark as the rest of us though with a whole host of famous actors staying at the top of the market since it was created.
