Damson Idris has moved into 2/1 to be the next James Bond with the market changing once more
British actor Damson Idris came in from absolutely nowhere to be one of the top contenders to be the next James Bond earlier this year before drifting out to 5/1 last month.
Bookies now though have shortened his odds once more with Idris now sitting at second favourite in the betting market at 2/1 to be the next actor that plays James Bond.
Damson most recently starred in US series Snowfall which ended with it's sixth and final season back in April and his schedule is now clear to get a role like Bond.
William Hill have their full market up over who will play the famous spy next with Aaron Taylor-Johnson remaining the favourite at 7/4.

What the expert says...
Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains favourite at the top of the market
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has firmly cemented a place as favourite to be the next James Bond with the actor staying as favourite now for longer than any other actor.
Reports back in November 2022 from The Sun said that a screen test was done for the role of Bond by Taylor-Johnson in front of producers and Barbara Broccoli.
Taylor-Johnson has now been the favourite for well over a month with his odds remaining at 7/4 for that time suggesting there's a 36% chance he gets the role.

Further Bond specials were available at the start of the year
The way we watch movies is changing constantly and there were odds offered back in February on the Bond franchise going streaming only in 2023.
The betting odds gave a 22% chance that James Bond will be streaming only going forward with the movies having a spell on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year potentially hinting at that.
At odds of 7/2, Betway offered a good chance that the franchise goes to streaming only but it'll likely need Box Office figures to keep making the films.
