Aaron Taylor-Johnson Now Even-Money Favourite To Be The Next James Bond

The race to be the next James Bond continues to heat up, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson now the even-money favourite in the latest betting markets.

Henry Cavill follows at 2/1 with UK Betting Sites as the pair lead the way in the fight to replace Daniel Craig as 007.

This comes after confirmation that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will write the new Bond film, with Denis Villeneuve, best known for Dune, set to direct.

Despite the growing speculation, no official casting announcement has been made but William Hill give a 50% chance that it'll be Taylor-Johnson in the main role.

What the expert says...
The new Bond film now has serious pedigree behind the camera, and the market's backing Aaron Taylor-Johnson reflects the likelihood producers want a versatile actor who can carry the franchise forward.

Villeneuve & Knight Confirmed For New Bond Film

With Amazon MGM Studios taking over the franchise reins, they’ve wasted no time assembling a heavyweight team behind the scenes.

Denis Villeneuve's coming to the director’s chair, alongside a Steven Knight-penned script, suggests a grittier, cinematic tone for Bond's next chapter.

This creative duo has sparked further interest in the betting market, particularly around actors known for both action and dramatic depth, which may explain Taylor-Johnson’s move into favourite status.
