The second album from singer Rebecca Lucy Taylor, known by her stage name Self Esteem, has received critical acclaim.

William Hill have made Self Esteem 11/4 from the 5/1 that she was at the start of the month.

Wet Leg were favourites for the award but have since drifted out

Wet Leg were the favourites at 7/2 to win the Mercury Music Prize Award with their self titled debut album when the odds were first released.

The indie rock duo have grown and grown over the past year and performed at massive festivals such as Glastonbury.

The full shortlist for the Mercury Prize Award was announced last week with 12 acts nominated for the best album of the year.

Little Simz remains the favourite to win the Mercury Prize Award at 5/2

Little Simz is remains the bookmakers favourite at 5/2 to win the Mercury Music Prize Award with her fourth album 'Sometimes I Might Be Introvert'.

The rapper's last album was also nominated for the Mercury Prize and her latest record has had massive amounts of success already.

At odds of 5/2, bookies give Little Simz a 28% chance of winning one of the biggest awards in British Music.

The Mercury Music Prize Award show will take place on the 8th September 2022 at the Eventim Apollo.
