Self Esteem is 5/2 to win this year's Mercury Music Prize after the show was postponed due to Queen's death

Self Esteem remains the favourite to win the Mercury Music Prize Award with bookies making her 5/2 to win the award.

The Mercury Music Prize was postponed on September 8th after the death of the Queen was announced on the afternoon of the show.

Organisers have yet to state if they will rearrange the show saying, “We will make an announcement regarding future arrangements as soon as we are able.”

Paddy Power make Self Esteem the 5/2 favourite to win the award, with the odds drifting from the 11/10 that she was two weeks ago.

Little Simz remains second favourite in the betting market

Little Simz is the 3/1 second favourite to win the Mercury Music Prize Award with her fourth album 'Sometimes I Might Be Introvert'.

The rapper's last album was also nominated for the Mercury Prize and her latest record has had massive amounts of success already.

Little Simz was the favourite to win this year's award but recent weeks we've seen Self Esteem go ahead in the betting odds.
