I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • MK Dons are surprise 13/2 favourites to win League Two despite last season’s 19th-place finish.
  • Chesterfield (17/2) and Notts County (9/1) are also among early favourites.
  • Market remains wide open with no team shorter than 13/2 signalling a highly competitive division.

MK Dons Installed as Early 13/2 Favourites for League Two Title

With the summer break beginning and the 2025/26 two months away, the League Two title betting market has opened and it’s shaping up to be one of the most competitive in years.

Despite a 19th-place finish last season, MK Dons have been installed as 13/2 favourites by Paddy Power, a move that’s raised eyebrows among punters and pundits alike.

Whether the price reflects behind-the-scenes optimism or expected transfer activity remains to be seen but the betting sites are clearly anticipating a bounce-back year at Stadium MK.

Wide-Open Market Highlights League Two’s Unpredictability

Unlike the Championship and League One where clear favourites are emerging, League Two looks extremely open this season and the odds reflect that.

A host of sides are priced in the single digits, with Chesterfield (17/2) seen as one of the main threats to MK Dons.

Notts County and Gillingham (both 9/1) follow closely, while Salford City and Bristol Rovers (11/1) also sit within reach in a market where no club is yet dominating punter confidence.

Walsall Go Unfancied After Play-Off Final Heartbreak

One notable absentee from the top of the market is Walsall, who reached last season’s play-off final but are out at 12/1.

Their loss at Wembley appears to have knocked bookmaker expectations for a sustained promotion push, though summer signings could change that picture quickly.

What the expert says...
This is one of the most open League Two markets we’ve seen in years. MK Dons leading it is a surprise based on last year’s form, but that price suggests insider confidence in a major rebuild.
