Fyre Festival II reportedly taking place this summer

This summer will reportedly see the second edition of the fraudulent music festival Fyre Fest with businessman Billy McFarland announcing the event.

McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison for his role in the first Fyre Festival after being charged with wire fraud back in 2018 before serving less than four years of that sentence.

Original Fyre Festival was an event that never happened

Fyre Festival was a luxury music festival that was supposed to take place in April and May 2017 on Great Exuma, a private island in the Bahamas.

The festival was promoted as an exclusive, high-end event featuring top musical acts, gourmet food, and luxury accommodations.

Following this series of events, Netflix had a popular documentary titled Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened that went viral.

Ja Rule has confirmed he won't be performing at Fyre Festival 2

US rapper Ja Rule was involved in the original Fyre Festival event with his promotion seeing him as part of several law suits around the festival.

Ja Rule though was not held accountable for his involvement with the judge saying that he might not have been aware of how badly it was organised.

The second Fyre Festival event is set to be held at Isla Mujeres off Cancun in Mexico but the tourism board told The Guardian that "“We have no knowledge of this event, nor contact with any person or company about it".
