Giorgia leads the betting odds to win this year's Sanremo Festival
This year's Sanremo Festival takes place next week and betting sites are now giving odds on who will win the 75th edition of the Italian Song Festival.
The Sanremo Festival gives the winner right of first refusal to represent Italy at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, with the winner usually accepting that right and heading to the famous Song Contest.
Bookmakers have placed Giorgia as the favourite to win this year's Samremo Festival in what will be her fifth time participating after previously appearing in 1995, 1996, 2001 and 2023.
Giorga has won once, back in 1995, and 30 years on from that is back to try and win again and this time head to Eurovision.
William Hill's latest market puts her as the leader at 9/4 with the odds giving an implied probability of 30.8% that she wins Sanremo 2025.
Festival Di Sanremo 2025 Winner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Giorgia | 9/4 | 30.8% |
Olly | 11/4 | 26.7% |
Achille Lauro | 6/1 | 14.3% |

What the expert says...
29 acts will compete at Sanremo 2025
30 acts compete in the main section of Sanremo 2025 with the acts selected by Artistic Director Carlo Conti.
This year though has already seen that 30 go down to 29 after Emis Killa withdrew from the competition following reports of alleged ties with AC Milan and Inter Milan ultras.
Favourite Giorgia will perform 'La cura per me' as her song for Sanremo this year with second favourite Olly looking to win with his song 'Balorda nostalgia'.

Grand Final will air on Saturday 15 February
Festival Di Sanremo will reach the Grand Final stage on 15 February but there is plenty of action set to happen before then.
The format of Sanremo sees five nights of competition with all 29 performing on the first night with the second and third nights seeing them split up into 14/15 to perform a second song.
Night four then sees the artists perform a song from the past with a special guest before the fifth night sees one more performance by all 29 acts again before the Top 5 across the week heads to the superfinal.
The Jury and Televote will then choose their winner who has the option to represent Italy at Eurovision.
