I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Verstappen 7/1 after back-to-back wins in Italy and Azerbaijan.
  • Oscar Piastri 4/9 favourite despite crashing out in Baku.
  • Lando Norris 9/4 sits second in standings, 44 points clear of Verstappen.

Verstappen Back in the Hunt

The F1 title race has been blown open after Max Verstappen secured back-to-back victories in Italy and Azerbaijan, slashing his odds from 50/1 into 7/1 with bet365 for the Drivers’ Championship.

Verstappen's win in Baku, coupled with Championship leader Oscar Piastri’s first-lap crash, means the Dutchman is just 44 points behind Lando Norris in second and 69 behind Piastri with seven races remaining.

The latest market sees Verstappen's chances go from 2% to 12.5% to be crowned champion this year in what would be his greatest comeback yet.

With pressure ramping up on the two McLaren's it may well be that Verstappen's title winning experience could get him over the line come the end of the season.

UK Betting Sites continue to offer odds on the Drivers Championship as we enter the business end of the F1 season.

Oscar Piastri4/969.2%
Lando Norris9/430.8%
Max Verstappen7/112.5%

Piastri remains odds-on to claim his maiden World Championship, but momentum is with Verstappen, who has shown once again why he’s considered one of the sport’s all-time greats.

Remaining F1 2025 Calendar

  • Singapore GP – 5 October
  • United States GP (Austin) – 19 October
  • Mexico City GP – 26 October
  • São Paulo GP – 9 November
  • Las Vegas GP – 23 November
  • Qatar GP – 30 November
  • Abu Dhabi GP – 7 December

The mix of street circuits and traditional tracks gives plenty of opportunity for swings in momentum.

Piastri and Norris will look to maintain McLaren’s dominance, but Verstappen’s experience in title run-ins could prove decisive.

Betting Insight

While Piastri is still strongly backed at 4/9, his crash in Azerbaijan showed the fragility of his lead.

Norris at 9/4 remains very much in the hunt, but the biggest story is Verstappen’s price collapsing into 7/1 after looking out of contention just weeks ago.

Punters are now debating whether Verstappen’s late charge mirrors his 2021 battle with Lewis Hamilton.

Could we be set for another dramatic final race showdown in Abu Dhabi?

What the expert says...
Verstappen at 50/1 was value, but even at 7/1 he’s not out of it. If Piastri and Norris feel the pressure in these final races, Max’s experience could yet turn the title race on its head.
