Country-pop band Remember Monday will be the UK's Eurovision entrant

Excitement builds for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest after the United Kingdom officially revealed their entry on Friday morning on BBC Radio 2.

Country-pop girlband Remember Monday will represent the UK in Switzerland in May with their song 'What The Hell Just Happened?' looking to win the competition.

Remember Monday themselves said, "We're going to be the first girlband to represent the UK since 1999, which feels like such a crazy honour. We're going to bring loads of fun, energy and hopefully do something that you won't have seen before on the Eurovision stage."

UK Betting Sites continue to offer odds on the event this year and the market has opened up once again with another new entrant.

William Hill have now placed the UK as 20/1 in the latest betting market to win Eurovision with those odds putting them as joint ninth favourites in the odds list.

Sweden still favourites to win Eurovision this year

Sweden continue to top the betting market to win Eurovision despite not having an official entrant as of yet with the Melodifestivalen final on the way this weekend.

Mans Zelmerlow remains favourite at 1/2 to win the event but KAJ have continued to be supported in the betting odds.

Whoever is chosen by the Swedish public for their 2025 Eurovision entrant could well see a change in the market.

Austria big mover in market this week

Austria have been the biggest market mover this past week to win Eurovision with the country represented by singer-songwriter JJ this year.

JJ, real name Johannes Pietsch, will enter the Song Contest with his track Wasted Love this year which has instantly been popular across Europe.

Many have already backed Wasted Love to be the big hit with the jury this year and it may even move into favourite if support continues in the coming weeks.
