  • UK priced at 20/1 by Ladbrokes to win Eurovision 2026
  • Austria hosts the contest in Vienna after JJ’s 2025 victory with Wasted Love
  • Sweden, France and Italy expected to join the favourites once full market opens

The countdown to Eurovision 2026 is well and truly on and bookmakers have already started rolling out betting odds for next year’s 70th edition of the world’s biggest song contest.

According to Ladbrokes, the UK are 20/1 to win the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest and the only country currently priced up in the specials market.

While we await a full odds board, it’s expected that Sweden, France and Italy will be among the early favourites once their entries are confirmed as is traditionally the case with the Eurovision betting markets.

Ladbrokes current odds give an implied probability of just 4.8% that the UK are crowned Eurovision champions next May.

The contest will be held from 12–16 May 2026 at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria, after JJ claimed victory for Austria in 2025 with his song Wasted Love.

Despite not yet revealing an artist or song, the UK have been priced at 20/1 in early betting, possibly a reflection of recent improvements in staging and performance consistency.

However, bookmakers will likely adjust odds rapidly once the national selections are underway across Europe.

What to Expect from the 70th Eurovision

This milestone edition promises to be one of the biggest Eurovision contests ever, with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Austrian host broadcaster ORF preparing a massive spectacle following JJ’s victory in Malmö earlier this year.

Vienna will be a familiar host city for many fans as it last staged Eurovision in 2015, when MĂĄns Zelmerlöw won with Heroes for Sweden.

Now, a decade later, Austria once again steps into the spotlight.

The UK is hoping to bounce back after a disappointing 2025 result and betting sites are already factoring in the possibility of a resurgent performance.

What the expert says...
Eurovision 2026 will be massive as a 70th edition hosted in a capital like Vienna is guaranteed to bring drama, staging, and surprises. At 20/1, the UK could represent value if they announce a well-known act with mainstream appeal.
