  • Lorenzo Alessi & Julia Majchrzak remain firm favourites with Unibet at 7/10 to win Love Island, despite facing the public vote tonight
  • Three couples are at risk of elimination, with Aidan & Priya, Lorenzo & Julia, and Samraj & Mica named least compatible by their fellow islanders
  • Kavan Murphy & Jasmine Muller sit as second favourites at 6/4, with the wider field showing a genuine spread of realistic contenders

Favourites Find Themselves In The Firing Line

Love Island has thrown up plenty of twists this series, but tonight's episode delivers one of the more unusual scenarios of the run so far.

The top betting sites currently have Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak as clear favourites to win the whole series, yet they find themselves among three couples facing the public vote this evening, a reminder that market-leading status offers no protection from the villa's ongoing dramas.

Tonight's vulnerable couples were determined in an unusual way, with fellow islanders voting on which pairings they considered least compatible.

That process saw Aidan and Priya, Lorenzo and Julia, and Samraj and Mica singled out as receiving the most votes from their fellow contestants, placing all three couples at risk of the public's decision.

Unibet's latest winning couple market suggests that it'll be Samraj and Mica who leave the show this evening.

Why Lorenzo And Julia Remain Favourites Regardless

Despite being among tonight's vulnerable couples, Lorenzo and Julia's position at the top of the winning couple market hasn't shifted, still priced at 7/10 with Unibet.

It highlights an important distinction in how these markets work: being voted least compatible by fellow islanders doesn't necessarily reflect how the wider public feels about a couple, and it's entirely possible for a pairing to survive tonight's vote comfortably while still carrying the strongest credentials to go all the way in the final.

Behind the leading pair, Kavan Murphy and Jasmine Muller sit as clear second favourites at 6/4, followed by Tommy Stagg and Yasmin Hadlow at 15/4.

Simba Kudyiwa and Angelista Gunda occupy outsider territory at 16/1, while Aidan and Priya, along with Samraj and Mica, both trade at a lengthy 90/1.

Expert Opinion

What the expert says...
It's a genuinely strange one, having the favourites sat in the bottom three like this. It really shows you how disconnected the islanders' view of compatibility can be from what the public actually wants to see. I'd be amazed if Lorenzo and Julia went home tonight given how strong their price is elsewhere, but stranger things have happened on this show.
