It has been a busy week in the world of online casino sites.
I've been flat to the mat bringing you two news pieces, a new game guide for Monopoly Live, and updates to some of OLBG's most popular guides.
On the news front, a new study revealed younger casino players are spreading their activity across a far wider range of games than older players.
The finding comes from the Gambling Commission's third annual Gambling Survey for Great Britain, published 16 July.
The survey questions around 20,000 adults a year and is produced by the National Centre for Social Research and the University of Glasgow, now with three consecutive years of comparable data.
My View
On Friday morning, I published a piece about how casino sites are facing a 25% rise in the fees that keep their operating licences valid.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport confirmed the increase on 30 June.
It follows a consultation that ran from 27 January to 30 March, which drew 47 responses, mostly from operators, suppliers and their representative bodies. The change takes effect from 1 October 2026.

OLBG's Casino Content Manager David Coleman believes the shift in younger members' habits is a sign casino sites content needs to stay flexible rather than built around one format.
He said: "When younger members are trying twice as many game types as older ones, it tells you they're browsing rather than settling.
"That's exactly why we keep going back over guides like quick verification and low minimum deposit casinos. Those are often the first pages a new member lands on, and first impressions decide whether they explore further or leave.
"Getting the basics right on those pages matters more than almost anything else we do."
