Dave has been in the iGaming industry since 2019, working as a writer, editor, freelance manager and content manager. He has acquired a wealth of industry knowledge during his time reviewing games and casinos. Before that he worked as a tabloid journalist across news and sport for both IrishMirror.ie and Mirror.co.uk.

Dave has taken in the bright lights of Las Vegas on two occasions to sample the Sin City casinos. There, he fell in love with live dealer games, but is yet to leave the desert with more than he came with. Maybe the third time will be a charm? 

Outside of the casino industry, Dave is an avid sports fan, and watches football and boxing whenever he has a break from family life. Based in Dublin, he is a lifelong fan of the Ireland national team and his local club St. Patrick's Athletic

Dave has been writing for a living for more than a decade. From curating live sports blogs and writing front page breaking news stories in the national press, to reviewing and rating casinos and games, he is a content nerd at heart. His love of writing is matched by his passion for online casinos. And after leaving journalism behind to focus on the iGaming industry over five years ago, he quickly found himself writing about all things casino. Dave is a communicator at heart and believes content should always speak to people in a way they understand.

📚 Experience

Dave is a content creator in every sense of the word. Passionate about words from a young age, he began his journey into professional writing at the Irish Mirror in Dublin. He reported on the biggest news and sport events in Ireland. He then headed to London where he was assistant news editor at Mirror.co.uk. 

Being a fan of both casino and sports betting his whole life, he made the switch to iGaming in 2019. He honed his casino writing and editing skills at iTech Media before moving to Blexr while living in sunny Valencia for two years. During this time, Dave gained a deep understanding of the industry, and how to write in a way that speaks to casino players and their needs. He also added more strings to his bow by working closely with other departments, such as design, PR and commercial. In late 2024, A move home to his beloved Dublin followed and he is now managing casino content at OLBG

As the Casino Content Manager, Dave's goal is to cut through all the jargon seen in the casino industry. He wants to provide well-informed content that readers can understand and use to make better decisions when it comes to gambling. His goal is to further OLBG's reputation as a powerhouse in the industry, and springboard the best of his casino content to your search results page in his mission to help you sift through the rubbish and find what you need.
