Revenue at Paysafe, a popular payment method with UK casino sites, has grown by 6%, new figures have revealed.
The firm behind Paysafecard, which was founded in 1996, had a turnover of $1.7billion in the last financial year.
Off the back of the news, Paysafe also announced a $70m increase to its share repurchase programme
The London-headquartered company’s CEO, Bruce Lowthers, said: “Our partnerships and growth prospects remain strong.”

Paysafecard popular payment method with UK Casino Sites
Paysafecard is a prepaid payment method that lets you make online purchases without using a bank account or credit card.
You can buy Paysafecard vouchers online or in person. Each one comes with a 16-digit PIN.
Punters can then enter the PIN at an online store or casino to make payments.
This removes the need for personal or banking details, making it fast, secure and anonymous.
Casinos set to prompt customers to set deposit limits
Paysafe’s update comes just days after it emerged casinos will soon prompt punters to set deposit limits as part of new legislation.
The new regulations come as part of a fresh initiative aimed at “increasing consumer control over deposit limits and greater transparency in customer funds protection by operators”, the UK Gambling Commission says.
From October 31st, players will be asked to put deposit limits in place before making their first deposit at a casino.
