Lewis Hamilton is 10/1 to win the British Grand Prix this weekend for the ninth time in his career

British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton is 10/1 to win the British Grand Prix this weekend for the ninth time in his career.

Hamilton has had a terrible start to the season with Mercedes showing nowhere near the speed that they have done in the last decade.

Fellow Mercedes driver and Brit George Russel is 12/1 with bookmakers to win his home race and he's finished on the podium in three of the nine races so far this season.

British Grand Prix Winner Odds Probability
Max Verstappen Evens 50.0%
Charles Leclerc 9/4 30.8%
Sergio Perez 9/1 10.0%
Lewis Hamilton 10/1 9.1%
Carlos Sainz 12/1 7.7%

Lewis Hamilton has been in the news this week after Nelson Piquet's disgusting racist comments towards the driver was condemned around the sporting world.

Hamilton said on Tuesday that "archaic mindsets need to change" and reports suggest that Piquet will not be welcome into the F1 paddock again.

Lewis Hamilton is 10/1 to win the British Grand Prix this year after a poor start to the year has seen his season really not set off at all. Hampered by issues with his car, Hamilton has yet to win a race this year.

Championship leader Max Verstappen is the favourite to win the British Grand Prix

Max Verstappen is flying at the top of the Drivers Championship this year, clear of his teammate and closest rival Sergio Perez by 46 points.

Verstappen of course rather controversially won last year's Drivers Championship in the final race against Lewis Hamilton and will be wanting to win one without the controversy.

This year is looking rather straightforward with Red Bull's main rivals Ferrari having reliability issues and Mercedes not improving anywhere near as much as they'd have liked to.

Bookmakers make Verstappen 1/6 favourite to win this year's Drivers Championship and EVENS to win the British Grand Prix this weekend.

Red Bull still lead the way in the Constructors Championship

With Verstappen and his teammate Sergio Perez having such a good season already, Red Bull find themselves just under 80 points clear at the top of the Constructors Championship.

Bookmakers make them 2/9 favourites to win the Constructors Championship with Ferrari second favourites in the market at 4/1.

Mercedes are more than 100 points behind Red Bull and that shows in the betting market with the 10 time winners out to 14/1 to win it this year.

The last 8 years have been dominated by Mercedes with the team winning the Constructors Championship for the last 8 years in a row.

Red Bull look nailed on to win the Constructors Championship this year with their odds to do so at 2/9. That would end an 8 year winning streak by Mercedes.
