Katarina Johnson-Thompson big market mover in Sports Personality of the Year betting market

English Athlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson is now just 5/1 with UK Betting Sites to win the Sports Personality of the Year award this year after winning the Heptathlon world title in Budapest on Sunday.

Johnson-Thompson's win completed a massive turnaround in her career after fearing injury may end her career back in 2019 after an achilles rupture and a difficult time since then.

Fast forward 4 years later though and the superstar athlete has won her second Heptathlon World Title and will be hoping to push on to the Paris Olympics next summer.

Johnson-Thompson has moved from 80/1 to just 5/1 to win the Sports Personality of the Year award with William Hill putting her as the joint third favourite in the market.

Stuart Broad remains favourite after retiring from Cricket after Ashes draw this summer

English cricket legend Stuart Broad remains the 13/8 favourite to win the 2023 Sports Personality of the Year award after he retired from the sport following England's 2-2 draw with Australia.

Broad announced his retirement during the final test of the series before a classic spell of bowling saw him help his country to a win and therefore draw the series against their fierce rivals.

Despite not winning the Ashes that didn't stop bookmakers from slashing Broad's odds to win the Sports Personality of the Year award with the cricketer still the clear favourite at 13/8.
